The latest effort from maverick filmmaker Lars Von Trier has cast actress Uma Thurman as a co-star.
The film titled The House That Jack Built is headlined by Matt Dillon as a serial killer and now Thurman has joined proceedings too, reuniting with her Nymphomaniac director.
This much anticipated thriller by the director of Melancholia, has also signed on Siobhan Fallon Hogan to the cast, which also includes Bruno Ganz, Riley Keough and Sofie Gråbøl.
As reported by Variety, producer of the film Louise Vesth said about the coming together of Thurman and Von Trier, “(Thurman) and Lars first worked together on Nymphomaniac and complimented each other in an exceptional way; I can’t wait to see which character they’ll create together this time”.
Von Trier is certainly an auteur, playing by no one’s rules but his own. His films have confounded, delighted and perplexed fans over the years, always setting themselves apart from the usual noise.
The House That Jack Built will start shooting this month in Sweden.
