Earlier this week it was announced that Dark Shadows and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children star Eva Green is in talks to join Tim Burton’s Dumbo movie, and now Deadline is reporting that Batman Returns star Danny DeVito could also reteam with Burton on the live-action adaptation.
According to the site, DeVito is looking to work out his Broadway schedule in order to take on the role of Medici, the man who runs a smaller circus that gets acquired by the evil big top circus villain Vandemere. Green meanwhile is set to play Colette, a French trapeze artist who works for Vandemere.
Dumbo will mark Burton’s second Disney animated adaptation after the 2010 box office smash Alice in Wonderland. The script for Dumbo has been penned by Ehren Kruger (Transformers: Age of Extinction), who also produces alongside Justin Springer (TRON: Legacy).
