Disney and Lucasfilm delivered quite the surprise in December by – SPOILERS – killing off the heroes in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, but screenwriter Gary Whitta has revealed that wasn’t always going to be the case, as Jyn and Cassian both survived in the original treatment and first draft of the script. If you’ve been dreaming of a live-action Frozen remake, I’m afraid you’re going to have to let it go, as Disney has revealed that any animated movies post-2000 are off limits for the time being. Read Disney’s comments here.
For a couple of years now, there’s been intense speculation as to whether we’ll be seeing any of the TV characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe making the jump to the big screen, albeit to no avail. Speaking of Marvel TV, Finn Jones’ Danny Rand never got to don the yellow and green outfit in the first season of Iron Fist, but a behind-the-scenes set photo has arrived online giving us a glimpse at the classic costume. Check it out here.
Good news for fans of The Big Bang Theory, as CBS has announced that it has given the hit sitcom a two-season renewal, which will take the show through to its twelfth season (and will be accompanied by the single-camera spinoff Young Sheldon when season eleven gets underway in the fall).
