Its rating may have slumped following its move to the 10pm timeslot, but it seems that Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. may receive a stay of execution from ABC.
According to Entertainment Weekly, it’s looking probable that the network will give Coulson and company a fifth season renewal, despite season four averaging a 0.75 rating in the 18-49 demo and just 2.4 million viewers per episode.
ABC does have the new Marvel series Inhumans set to premiere on Tuesday nights in September, and the network has previously expressed its interest in running the new show alongside Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., perhaps hoping that interest in Inhumans will help give AoS a bump in ratings.
Are you hoping that ABC renews Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a fifth season, or have you already tuned out?
