Looking at the trailer for Thor’s cosmic romp, Thor: Ragnarok, it’s pretty hard not to make comparisons to a certain other Marvel series featuring a group of intergalactic, wisecracking… well, Guardians. According to Marvel’s Kevin Feige, however, the two movies are nothing alike. Speaking to Heroic Hollywood, the head of Marvel Studios had this to say:
“Well, I think I would say it’s, and as people see more of Ragnarok, it’s a Taika tone more than a Guardians tone. He’s really adding a very unique point of view to it, but certainly the success of Guardians just boosted our confidence to continue to go in new, fun, weird directions.”
Thor: Ragnarok has consistently defied expectations since the movie’s announcement a few years ago. It looks like Marvel Studios is really set on making this installment in the Thor solo franchise the best yet.
