Young actor Christian Convery (My Christmas Dream) has been cast to play Steve Carell’s youngest son and Timothee Chalamet’s (Call Me By Your Name) little brother in Beautiful Boy, a new Amazon Studios drama produced by Brad Pitt’s Plan B.
The film is based on David Sheff’s book Beautiful Boy: a Father’s Journey Through His Son’s Addiction as well as Nic Scheff’s Tweak: Growing Up On Methamphetamines, which described Nic’s (Chalamet) methamphetamine addiction and its impact on his family. Convery plays Jasper Sheff, a happy seven-year-old who must deal with the serious effects drug addiction has on an older brother whom he adores.
Beautiful Boy is being directed by Felix Van Groeningen (The Broken Circle Breakdown) from a screenplay he created by Luke Davies (Lion).
