The X-Files may be returning to Fox in 2018, but it seems two of its other revived series – Prison Break and 24: Legacy – have been put on the back-burner for the time being.
Speaking to Deadline, Fox co-chairman and CEO Gary Newman has stated that while “we loved this season” of Prison Break, there are “no plans right now” for another season. Nevertheless, should creator Paul Scheuring come back with an idea for another instalment, it would be “seriously considered”.
Similarly, a second season of 24: Legacy “could be in the mix” at some point, although lead actor Corey Hawkins is currently performing on Broadway in Six Degrees of Separation, which has put a potential new season off the table for this fall.
Are you hoping we do get to see more Prison Break and 24: Legacy at some point, or is it time to lay both shows to rest? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…
