Although Joss Whedon’s attention is currently on the reshoots for November’s Justice League movie, the Avengers helmer also has one eye on his next DC project, the Batgirl solo movie, and it seems we may be close to hearing who’ll be taking on the role of Barbara Gordon in the film.
Now, this rumour comes by way of Reddit (via We Got This Covered), so be sure to have your pinch of salt at the ready, but a poster on DCEU Leaks claims to have a friend who has been contracted to produce concept art for the film featuring the following actresses:
- Elle Fanning (The Neon Demon)
- Olivia Cooke (Bates Motel)
- Bella Throne (Shake It Up!)
- Katherine Langford (13 Reasons Why)
- Margaret Qualley (The Leftovers)
- Jane Levy (Don’t Breathe)
- Emma Roberts (Scream Queens)
- Haley Lu Richardson (Split)
- Naomi Scott (Power Rangers)
Apparently, Langford is the front runner, with Fanning, Levy and Qualley also firmly under consideration, and Warner Bros. is said to be keen to get an actress signed up so that they can make the announcement at Comic-Con this month.
