Having become the highest-grossing instalment of the DC Extended Universe domestically this past week, Warner Bros.’ Wonder Woman has now reached another box office milestone, with the film passing $700 million worldwide this weekend.
After a month on screens, the Gal Gadot-headlined solo movie has pulled in an impressive $708.4 million around the globe, leaving it less than $40 million shy of the final total for the previous DCEU release Suicide Squad ($745.6 million). It’s certainly possible that the Amazon Princess could go on to surpass the Worst Heroes Ever, although its takings are sure to take a hit this week with the release of 2017’s latest superhero movie Spider-Man: Homecoming.
