Back in March it was announced that Mark Strong is set to lead the upcoming Fox spy series Deep State, and now we have the first official look at the actor as Max Easton, who Deadline describes as “an ex-spy brought back into the game to avenge the death of his son, only to find himself at the heart of a covert intelligence war and a conspiracy to profit from the spread of chaos throughout the Middle East.”
In addition to the first look photo, we also have details on the supporting cast, with Strong set to be joined by Alistair Petrie (The Night Manager), Anastasia Griffith (Damages), Amelia Bullmore (Happy Valley), Kingsley Ben-Adir (King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword), Pip Torrens (The Crown) and Fares Fares (Tyrant) in addition to the previously announced Karima McAdams (Fearless), Joe Dempsie (Game of Thrones) and Lyne Renee (Split).
Deep State has been created by Matthew Parkhill and Simon Maxwell; the eight-part series is set to air on Fox in over 50 countries.
