The mother of the Walking Dead stuntman that sadly perished during filming is expected to file a lawsuit.
AMC and their flagship product The Walking Dead have been under fire from two massive lawsuits recently; one from co-creator Frank Darabont and the other from the show’s current producers (including Robert Kirkman).
Well, they are likely to have another lawsuit on their hands according to the firm representing Susan Bernecker, the mother of stuntman John Bernecker.
Jon died in a fall last month, and his mother Susan has now hired Jeffrey R. Harris, the attorney who won the $11.2 million case of the train fatality regarding Midnight Rider.
After falling 22 feet onto a concrete floor, John Bernecker was sadly killed during filming for the hit zombie show, with initial reports stating that he missed the padding by mere inches.
“Accidents like that do not happen on a production without some mistake being made,” Harris told Variety back in July. “That’s a self-evident principle of law.”
In 2013, another major accident occurred on the set of The Walking Dead, when a military vehicle ran over an actor, leaving him with a fractured pelvis.
