Filming wraps on The Fantastic Four

August 2, 2014 by Gary Collinson

In an age where spy photos and set leaks are a compulsory part of any big Hollywood production, it will come as a bit of a surprise to hear that filming has wrapped on 20th Century Fox’s reboot The Fantastic Four, with Kate Mara (Susan Storm) announcing the news via Twitter by posting a photo of herself and co-stars Miles Teller (Reed Richards), Michael B. Jordan (Johnny Storm) and Jamie Bell (Ben Grimm)…

It has to be said that Fox has done a fantastic job of keeping the film under wraps since production got underway in Louisiana back in May, with only a couple of set photos of the ‘Baxter Institute’ and a potential sculpt of The Thing all we’ve really seen from the Josh Trank-directed reboot. Still, if they were that far into production, it really begs the question as to why Fox didn’t show something off at the San Diego Comic-Con, even if it was just an official image of the cast together…

The Fantastic Four is set for release on June 19th 2015, with a cast that also includes Toby Kebbell (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) as Doctor Doom, Reg E. Cathey (The Wire) as Dr. Storm, and Tim Blake Nelson (The Incredible Hulk) as Harvey Elder.
