Channel 4 has announced that Charlie Brooker’s Emmy Award-winning anthology series Black Mirror is to return for a one-off special this Christmas, which will feature three interwoven stories in a feature-length episode.
“I always enjoy a good ghost story at Christmas, and I’m a sucker for the Amicus’ compendium horror movies of the 70s,” said Brooker. “Our aim is to create the Black Mirror equivalent of that.”
“I’m delighted that we have a Black Mirror Special this Christmas,” added Phil Clarke, Channel 4’s head of comedy. “Charlie Brooker has penned a dystopian future festive tale, that intertwines three stories to deliver a dramatic and thrilling twist. It’s satirical, comic, disturbing, and thought provoking. Not to be missed.”
As yet, there’s no word on an air date, but we’ll keep you updated…
