With filming on the sixth instalment in the Terminator franchise slated to get underway in March, Variety is reporting that Billy Ray (The Hunger Games, Captain Phillips) has been brought in to polish the script.
The as-yet-untitled Terminator sequel/reboot is based on an idea from producer James Cameron, director Tim Miller and Skydance founder David Ellison, and has seen David S. Goyer, Justin Rhodes and Josh Friedman working on the script.
The new movie will be a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment Day, ignoring the later instalments, and sees Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton reprising their roles. James Cameron has also indicated that there will be a new female lead.
