Wonder Woman star Said Taghmaoui has parted ways with FX’s X-Men series Legion during production of its second season, Variety has revealed.
Taghmaoui had been cast in the role of Amahl Farouk, a.k.a. The Shadow King, back during Comic-Con, and started work on the series back in September. There’s been no word as to the reasons for his departure, but it is said that FX will be recasting the role.
Legion follows David Haller (Dan Stevens), a man who has believed himself to be mentally ill, only to discover that he actually possesses mutant superpowers. Also featuring in the cast are Rachael Keller, Aubrey Plaza, Bill Irwin, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, Katie Aselton, and Jean Smart.
The second season of Legion is slated to begin airing on FX in February 2018.
