When Marvel’s Iron Fist returns to Netflix for its second season, it will have Alice Eve (Star Trek Into Darkness) among its ranks.
Eve will star as a regular role throughout the season, but Marvel is staying mum right now on who exactly her character is and whether she’s an ally or enemy of the immortal Iron Fist. However, a recent report made just days ago suggests Marvel may have decided on a female villain for the second season.
“We are very excited to have an actress of Alice’s stature join the cast of Marvel’s Iron Fist,” Marvel’s head of television and series executive producer Jeph Loeb said. “Her exceptional talent brings an intrigue and danger to her character unlike anyone else.”
“We’re over the moon that Alice Eve is joining us this season,” said Raven Metzner, Iron Fist‘s showrunner and executive producer. “We think she’s going to be a great addition to an already stellar cast.”
Iron Fist begins production on season two later this month, but its unclear if the season will premiere in 2018 or Netflix will hold it back until 2019 after they’ve aired the other shows. Jessica Jones and Luke Cage have wrapped production on their second season, which will premiere in 2018, while Daredevil has started production on its third season last month.
Returning to Iron Fist is Finn Jones as Danny Rand, Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum and Sacha Dhawan as Davos.
