Lifetime is looking to capitalise on the excitement over the upcoming Royal wedding by producing Harry & Meghan: The Royal Love Story, a TV movie chronicling the relationship between Britain’s Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle.
According to Deadline, the film “chronicles the courtship and love story between a beloved prince and his new fiancée and will examine the history of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from the moment they met after being set up by friends, through their initial courtship when they were able to keep their romance under wraps, and ultimately the intense global media attention surrounding their relationship and Meghan’s life as a divorced American actress.”
Lifetime previously produced William & Kate: The Movie, delving into the relationship between Harry’s brother Prince William and Kate Middleton, which aired in the build up to their own wedding in 2011.
Harry & Meghan: The Royal Love Story is being directed by Menhaj Huda (The Royals). As yet there’s no word on a premiere date, but expect it around the Royal wedding on May 19th.
