As production continues on DC’s live-action Teen Titans digital series Titans, Heroic Hollywood is reporting that the character of Tony Zucco will make an appearance in the show.
Zucco is a name that will be familiar to Dick Grayson fans, being the mobster responsible for the death of Dick’s parents by sabotaging their trapeze ropes during an attempt to extort protection money from Haly’s Circus. He is later tracked down by Batman and Robin and sent to prison for his crimes.
Back in November, it was reported that DC was looking to cast the Flying Graysons for a guest appearance in Titans, while a further rumour in December suggested that actors were being sought for Bruce Wayne and a young Dick Grayson. It seems a pretty safe bet then that Titans will be exploring the origin of Robin, and so it makes sense that Zucco will also be featured.
