Justice League Dark concept art featuring Constantine and Zatanna

March 30, 2018 by Gary Collinson

One of several DC projects to have found itself stuck in development hell at Warner Bros. these past few years is the supernatural ensemble Justice League Dark.

First announced back in 2012, with Guillermo del Toro slated to direct, the script was completed in 2014 but del Toro left the project the following year, with Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow) subsequently coming on board before leaving to focus on his latest project Chaos Walking.

While we wait to see if Warner and DC Films can resurrect the project, we now have a look at a couple of pieces of concept art from Ed Natividad (via Comic Book), which shows John Constantine and Zatanna sneaking Zatanna’s father Zatarra into a hospital ICU for some unorthodox medical care. Take a look here…

Back in December of last year, we also got a look at some character concept designs from a failed pitch from filmmaker Joseph Kahn, which included Swamp Thing, Floronic Man, Deadman, Natalie Dormer as Zatanna, Dan Stevens as Constantine and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Jason Blood/Etrigan the Demon. Check them out here.
