According to Variety, Amber Heard (The Danish Girl) has signed on to play the mother of Charlie Plummer (All the Money in the World) in the indie drama Gully, which marks feature directorial debut of music video and commercials director Nabil Elderkin.
Set in a slightly dystopian vision of Los Angeles, Gully follows three disaffected teenagers, all victims of extreme childhoods, who are running a hedonistic riot as they try to work out a way in life. Also featuring in the cast are Alice Eve (Black Mirror), Jacob Latimore (Detroit), Kelvin Harrison Jr. (The Birth of a Nation) and Jonathan Majors (Hostiles).
Heard was last seen in a brief cameo in Justice League as Mera, a role she reprises alongside Jason Momoa in this December’s Aquaman solo movie. The actress also recently signed on to star in director Fred Grivois’ (Through the Air) romantic thriller Run Away With Me, which will shoot this year.
