Buying the Sunset Overdrive bundle for Xbox One will net you a white console and controller, yet it doesn’t seem Microsoft have any plans to release the white controller on its own just yet.
When asked on Twitter if Microsoft were going to release the white controller outside of the bundle, executive Aaron Greenberg said: “Not planning white controllers at this time.”
It’s possible that Microsoft will one day accommodate those in need of a white controller, but for now, it isn’t happening. Currently, you can pick up the standard black controller or one of a few camouflage variants, with Microsoft planning on releasing a special, limited edition Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare version of their controller.
Microsoft’s $50 price cut for all Xbox One systems came into effect today as well, and will run through to January 2015. Those looking to buy an Xbox One may now be seriously tempted to do so over the Christmas period.
