Lionsgate has announced that Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter, Horns), Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex, The Interview) and Taiwanese megastar Jay Chou have joined the cast of the upcoming sequel Now You See Me 2, which is being directed by Jon M. Chu (G.I. Joe: Retaliation).
Depsite previously stating that Isla Fisher would return, the actress is absent from this latest official announcement, with Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman, Woody Harrelson, Michael Caine and Dave Franco the only names mentioned as reprising their roles.
The plot of Now You See Me 2 is being kept pretty much under wraps, but the press release does state that “one year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public’s adulation with their mind-bending spectacles, the Four Horsemen resurface only to find themselves face to face with a new enemy who enlists them to pull off their most dangerous heist yet.”
