It looks like UK audiences will get to venture to Atlantis a week earlier than our friends across the Pond, as Digital Spy is reporting that Warner Bros. has moved up the UK release of the next DC Extended Universe blockbuster Aquaman.
The film will now reportedly now open on December 14th, taking it out of competition with Mary Poppins Returns, which opens in the UK on December 21st. It now faces off against Sony’s animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and the Peter Jackson-produced Mortal Engines.

Aquaman is directed by James Wan (The Conjuring) and stars Jason Momoa as the titular hero, reprising his role from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, along with Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master, Willem Dafoe as Dr. Vulko, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry, Ludi Lin as Murk, Michael Beach as Jesse Kane, Otis Dhanji as a young Arthur Curry and Graham McTavish in an as-yet-unrevealed role.
