Former Doctor Who star Matt Smith has signed on to star alongside Natalie Dormer (Game of Thrones, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1) in the upcoming zombie film Patient Zero, Deadline has revealed.
Directed by Stefan Ruzowitsky (Deadfall), Patient Zero sees “an unprecedented global pandemic of a super strain of rabies resulting in the evolution of a new species driven by violence. An inexplicably immune human survivor with the ability to communicate with this new species must spearhead a hunt for Patient Zero in order to find a cure to save his infected wife and humanity.
Before Patient Zero, we’ll be seeing Smith on the big screen in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, while he’ll also feature in Terminator: Genisys.
