There’s been a lot said about the upcoming Josh Trank directed reboot The Fantastic Four in recent weeks since Toby Kebbell revealed some plot details about his character Dr. Doom, and most of it has been fairly negative.
Speaking recently to MTV’s Josh Horowitz, Miles Teller – who plays leader of the group Reed Richards – defended the reboot saying “We’re proud of what we did.”
The lack of marketing and unnecessary secrecy from Fox has also been another negative factor for the movie according to the internet and Teller responded by saying “If you want to go on the internet and find out what every person has to say about it, it’s very easy to find that and you can kinda get caught up in the whole thing.”
Teller also spoke about when we might see some footage, “We’re right on schedule…we shot the whole thing during the summer and images have started to come out…I don’t know when they’re gonna show it but the movie doesn’t come out until next August. They just showed something for Jurassic World and that movie comes out a couple months before ours…I think it’s right on schedule.”
The Fantastic Four is set for release on August 7th 2015, with Josh Trank (Chronicle) directing a cast that includes Miles Teller (Divergent) as Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara (American Horror Story) as the Invisible Woman, Michael B. Jordan (Fruitville Station) as the Human Torch, Jamie Bell (Nymphomaniac) as The Thing, Toby Kebbell (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) as Doctor Doom, Reg E. Cathey (The Wire) as Dr. Storm, and Tim Blake Nelson (The Incredible Hulk) as Harvey Elder.
