The Walking Dead spinoff to be set in Los Angeles

December 16, 2014 by Thomas Roach

The Walking Dead is currently one of the most watched show in the world so there is no surprise that a spinoff series is being developed by AMC. The pilot of The Walking Dead spinoff is currently set to shoot next year and is now casting actors for roles. However, there has been no indication to where the spinoff would be set, until now.

According to TV Line, the spinoff will be set in Los Angeles. However a representative from AMC refused to confirm or comment on the setting. The show may in fact just be shooting the pilot in Los Angeles , but this does not guarantee that it will be set in the city.

The spinoff currently titled ‘Cobalt’ is being developed by The Walking Dead comic creator Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson. The pilot episode is being directed by Adam Davidson. The pilot stars Cliff Curtis (Gang Related), Frank Dillane (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) and Alycia Debnam Carey (Into the Storm).

Do you think Los Angeles is a good setting for the spinoff? Let us know…
