Red Hood confirmed for Gotham

January 22, 2015 by admin

With rumours of The Joker making a small screen appearance in TV show Gotham, we now have official word that Red Hood will indeed be making a trip to the pre-Batman Gotham City.

“There’s going to be an episode that involves the Red Hood, which picks up that strand, the costume strand,”  Gotham showrunner Bruno Heller told CBR when asked about villains wearing their traditional outfits. “There’s the super powers, super will, and there’s super strength, but only on a human level. Not on a supernatural level.”

In the comics, Red Hood was an alias for the man who would eventually become The Joker, but has since been used by other characters including former Robin Jason Todd.

“We’d always planned for the end of the season to be as big and spectacular and as shocking and as frightening and as sensational as it possibly can be,” Heller added. “And we’re going ahead with that plan.”

Gotham returns to TV screens on January 26th and stars Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, Jada Pinkett Smith as Fish Mooney, Sean Pertwee as Alfred, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle, Zabryna Guevara as Captain Sarah Essen, Cory Michael Smith as Edward Nygma, Victoria Cartagena as Renee Montoya, Andrew Stewart Jones as Crispus Allen, John Doman as Carmine Falcone.
