After Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises) dropped out, and Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler) passed on the opportunity to replace him, it looks like Warner Bros. has found its Rick Flagg for the upcoming DC movie Suicide Squad.
According to The Wrap, Joel Kinnaman (RoboCop) is set to sign on to the David Ayer-directed project in the role of the Squad’s leader. Kinnaman will join a cast that includes Will Smith (Hancock) as Deadshot, Jai Courtney (Terminator: Genisys) as Captain Boomerang, Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street) as Harley Quinn, Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club) as The Joker and Viola Davis (How to get Away with Murder) as Amanda Waller, with Jesse Eisenberg also expected to reprise the role of Lex Luthor from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
