The second season of the hit HBO series Game of Thrones ended this week and one of its stars has just signed up to appear in a new film called Greenland Time at Sigma / Zentropa. Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow, will star opposite Vera Farmiga (Source Code, The Departed) in the psychological thriller set in Greenland. It tells the story of a woman out for revenge against the man who killed her daughter in a hit-and-run accident.
Writers David Newman and Catherine Linstrum will make their feature directorial debuts on this project, which was developed by the UK’s BFI/Film Agency for Wales. Shooting is expected to begin in October or November.
Harington can next be seen in the horror movie Silent Hill: Revelation 3D with Sean Bean (The Lord of the Rings), Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix) and Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange), which is released on October 31st in the UK. He is currently filming fantasy The Seventh Son alongside Jeff Bridges (True Grit), Ben Barnes (The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian) and Julianne Moore (The Kids Are All Right). He is also due to reprise his role as Jon Snow in the third season of Game of Thrones, which is scheduled to shoot in Northern Ireland this summer.
