Captain America: Civil War casting call teases Wakanda and Peter Parker classmates

March 23, 2015 by admin

Since the announcement that Black Panther would be joining the ranks of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain America: Civil War, it was presumed that we would be taking a trip to Wakanda for his introduction.

Well, a casting call over at Tammy Smith Casting (via CBM) is calling out for “African Men & Women” between the ages of 18-75 with “casual looks or ethnic wardrobe”. However that last part is a plus, not mandatory.

This has cast out speculation that Captain America: Civil War will indeed have a scene or two in Wakanda, the home country of T’Challa aka Black Panther.

The casting call is also looking for “Upscale Men and Women”, “Military Men”, “Southeast Asian Men & Women” and “College Students”. Could the last ones be for the introduction of Peter Parker/Spider-Man, who is likely to be a teen in the upcoming movie?

Following the events of Age of Ultron, the collective governments of the world pass an act designed to regulate all superhuman activity. This polarizes opinion amongst the Avengers, causing two factions to side with Iron Man or Captain America, which causes an epic battle between former allies..

Captain America: Civil War is set for release on April 29th 2016 in the UK and May 6th in the States, with a cast sees Marvel Cinematic Universe veterans Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America), Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man), Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson/Falcon), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton/Hawkeye), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier) and Frank Grillo (Brock Rumlow/Crossbones) alongside Chadwick Boseman (Get on Up) as T’Challa/Black Panther and Daniel Bruhl (Rush) as a new villain, rumoured to be Baron Zemo.
