Sigh. This is likely to be a pretty undignified tribute to one of the most popular movies of the 1980s.
ITV have announced that they are doing a tribute show to the iconic Back to the Future featuring Celebrity Juice and Through the Keyhole presenter Keith Lemon, the alter-ego of comedian Leigh Francis.
The programme will be called Keith Lemon’s Back to the Future Tribute and will also feature comedian and Take Me Out host Paddy McGuiness as Biff and TV chef and I’m a Celebrity Get, Me Out of Here survivor Gino D’Acampo as Doc Brown. Pop band McBusted will provide the Johnny B. Goode cover. The programme will feature skits and recreations of the movie’s iconic scenes with other pseudo-famous people.
Not only that, but Lemon will also be interviewing several members of the cast and crew as well as visiting the sets used during the movie. There is also promise of a hoverboard.
“Never did I fink 30 years ago I’d be on telly doing a ‘docu-com’ about 30 years of Back t’future,” Lemon is quoted as saying, complete with thick northern accent. “It’s well documented that I’m a massive BTTF fan but I’m not well documented for mecking documentaries. I’m very excited. I feel like a geeky 40 year old virgin, accept I’m not 40 and I’ve had loads of sex. Let’s get that flux capacitor fluxing!”.
We swear to you, this is all real.
