According to Production Weekly, Marvel’s upcoming follow-up to last year’s smash hit Guardians of the Galaxy is going under the working title of Guardians 3000, which – if true – suggests that we might be seeing some of the original line-up of the cosmic superhero team in the 2017 sequel.

For those unaware, Guardians 3000 is also the name of an ongoing Marvel Comics title, which revolves around the characters of Yondu, Major Victory, Charlie-27, Martinex and Starhawk – the original Guardians of the Galaxy line-up, who made their first appearance in Marvel Super-Heroes #18 back in 1969.
