Hereditary and Old star Alex Wolff is set to reunite with Michael Sarnoski, director of 2021’s acclaimed Pig, for the upcoming horror spinoff A Quiet Place: Day One.
A prequel to John Krasinski’s two hit films and based upon an original idea by the filmmaker (who along with his wife Emily Blunt is not expected to appear on screen), Day One is a prequel which follows a different group of characters in the same post-apocalyptic world infested by mysterious creatures that hunt by sound.
Filming on Day One kicked off in London earlier this month, although Wolff is only the third name announced for the cast after Lupita Nyong’o (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) and Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things). The film is slated for release on March 8th 2024.
Wolff was last seen on the big screen with 2021’s Old and Pig, and next appears as part of the enormous ensemble cast of Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, which opens in July.
