The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences has announced that a record 27 movies have been submitted for consideration for the Best Animated Feature Oscar at the 89th Academy Awards:

From the above list, the Academy will check that the movies meet the eligibility criteria; depending on the number that do, the actual nominees could range from two to five films, with 16 or more features needed to be eligible in order for five nominees.
