Thanks to news that ABC is in talks with Kevin Feige over future Marvel TV shows from Marvel Studios, we now know they won’t be exclusive to Disney+ going forward.
In recent years, Marvel has been known for sharing its television properties around. From the likes of Daredevil on Netflix to Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D on ABC, they haven’t been tethered to one spot.
With the arrival of Disney+ many expected this to change, however, we now that Marvel boss Kevin Feige has been talking to Disney owned ABC about future shows. ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke revealed at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour that she and Feige were in early talks and then said the following to Deadline:
“We love our partners at Marvel and we’re sad to see [Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.] go, it’s been a big part of our history. We’re looking forward to working with Kevin Feige and we’re at the very beginning of conversations with him now about what a Marvel and ABC show might look like. Right now, Marvel’s focus has been on Disney+, as it should be.”
