Action Lab launches violent superhero tale The World Front

Action Lab has announced the launch of the violent, dysfunctional superhero tale The World Front, which is described as “Justice League meets The Fly“. Take a look at a preview of the first issue here…

The world’s premiere heroes, VICTORIOUS and THE WORLD FRONT, are sick and tired of saving wannabe superheroes who constantly get in over their head. They decide to take a break as two of their comrades, THE LOUSE and LADY BUG, go after an escaped super-criminal. This pursuit meets a tragic end, forcing The World Front to confront a heinous crime.

“[Artist] Rob Croonenborghs and I have been working on The World Front for a while, and we’ve sunk our hearts and souls into it,” states writer Kurt Belcher. “It’s a love letter to both the transcendental superhero sagas that we grew up with, as well as the bloody horror comics and movies that still blow our minds. If you like either of those, too, The World Front is a comic for you.”

The World Front #1 hits comiXology today, May 8th, with issue #2 arriving on June 5th and issue #3 on July 3rd. The collected volume, The World Front: Volume 1, will be released on August 7th.
