The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Adam DeVine (Workaholics, Pitch Perfect) has signed on to lead New Line Cinema’s comedy Paternity Leave.
The project is described as having “shades of The Hangover and Wedding Crashers” and “centers on a group of immature bachelors who stage pregnancies in order to get time off and go on an all-expenses-paid trip.”
Paternity Leave has been in the works since 2005 and is based on a concept from Andrew Panay, who produces. Todd Strauss-Schulson (The Final Girls) is directing.
DeVine will next be seen opposite Zac Efron, Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza in Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, which opens in August. Watch the trailer here.
