Warner Bros. is set to bring Harley Quinn to the small screen, with the studio ordering a new 26-episode half-hour adult animated action-comedy series for its upcoming DC-branded digital streaming service.
The new Harley Quinn series is being produced by Powerless executive producers Jstin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker and Dean Lorey and will see the fan favourite character attempting to make it on her own as the criminal Queenpin of Gotham City after breaking things off with the Joker once and for all. Along with Harley, the show is set to feature Poison Ivy and “a whole cast of heroes and villains, old and new, from the DC Universe.”

According to Deadline, Margot Robbie is said to be at the top of the list to voice the character in the show following her appearance in last year’s live-action Suicide Squad movie. Robbie is also slated to reprise the role in Suicide Squad 2, as well as a Joker and Harley Quinn movie.
The Harley Quinn series is the third project to be announced for the DC digital service after the live-action Teen Titans series Titans and the third season of the animated show Young Justice, titled Young Justice: Outsiders.
