Alice in Borderland season 2 trailer ups the ante for the survivors

December 6, 2022 by Matt Rodgers

Based on the original graphic novel Imawa no Kuni no Alice by Haro Aso, Alice in Borderland got swallowed up by the hyperbole of the similarly themed Squid Game, but this equally good Japanese series still reached the Top 10 in at least 70 countries worldwide, and now Netflix has finally released the trailer for the eagerly-anticipated follow-up season.

Directed by Shinsuke Sato, and starring Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya as Arisu and Usagi, the survivors from the first season, who set out to solve the mystery of the Borderland and take part in a new set of macabre games; check out the trailer below…

Arisu (Kento Yamazaki) and Usagi (Tao Tsuchiya) try to unravel the mysteries of Borderland to return to the real world. In a place they believe holds the key to uncovering these mysteries, they meet allies, enemies, and the mastermind behind all of the games. Arisu and the others pit themselves against games of a scale and difficulty that exceed the first season. The remaining games are only the Jack, Queen, and King cards, but will they be able to collect them all and return to the real world? The hugely popular series that astounded the world returns with even more thrills and excitement!

Alice in Borderland Season 2 starts streaming from December 22nd on Netflix.
