Alicia Vikander joins Julianne Moore in My Life On the Road

October 8, 2018 by Amie Cranswick

Tomb Raider star Alicia Vikander is joining fellow Oscar-winner Julianne Moore in My Life On the Road, an adaptation of feminist icon Gloria Steinem’s memoir.

Both actresses will portray Steinem at different points in her life, with Vikander portraying her during her formative years from around age 20 and Moore taking over as Steinem grows from a reluctant spokesperson of the feminist movement into a symbol for equality.

Julie Taymor (Frida, Across the Universe) is directing My Life On the Road, and has co-written the script with Tony Award-nominated playwright Sarah Ruhl (In the Next Room, The New World).

Vikander, who won an Oscar for her role in 2015’s The Danish Girl, has recently wrapped production on the romantic crime thriller Earthquake Bird, where she stars alongside Riley Keough and Jack Huston.
