Alien: Romulus images showcase a Xenomorph design “closer to H.R. Giger’s original creation”

May 4, 2024 by EJ Moreno

Fede Alvarez’s Alien: Romulus will take us to new realms of horror, and we have a new look of the alien terror ahead of us.

During Entertainment Weekly’s Summer preview, Alien: Romulus was shown off with two new images. You can find the full preview of the upcoming films, but the outlet spotlighted the upcoming sci-fi horror film with new images of the Xenomorph and the stars preparing for battle.

Entertainment Weekly notes, “Alvarez promises [the Xenomorph’s design] is closer to H.R. Giger’s original creation than any other iteration.” Check out the newly released photos here…

“While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonisers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.”

Alien: Romulus takes place in between the first two films. It’s been described as “an original standalone feature,” one that “will focus on a group of young people on a distant world.”

Cailee Spaeny (Pacific Rim: Uprising, Priscilla) leads the cast of the film alongside David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu.

Alien: Romulus arrives in cinemas on August 16th.
