Eleon Game Studios has released the experimental build of Alpha 9 for their sci-fi survival game Empyrion – Galactic Survival. This latest update sees changes made to logistics, reputation with AI factions, introduction of leveled NPCs and much more.
In Alpha 9 experimental, players are able to test the weight and volume restrictions that were previously introduced but not activated. This change will require players to start a new world and when playing will notice that instead of carrying around any block or item in their backpack and placing it from there, they will have to use the new Logistics feature.
A new NPC faction and reputation system has been introduced that will see players capable of becoming friends or enemies with several global factions, including Zirax Empire (the former baddies), Talon, Polaris and aliens. Each of these factions have territory and any actions such as killing and looting in that territory will affect a player’s reputation with that faction.
This latest Alpha of the game will add Leveled NPCs. When facing an NPC an additional number can be seen showing its level, this is calculated by their attack (damage of weapon) and defense (hitpoint) values and takes into account the difficulty mode of the game.
