BE CAREFUL NOT TO CHOKE ON YOUR ASPIRATIONS
Disney and Lucasfilm delivered one of – if not the – greatest Darth Vader moments with his final scene in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and screenwriter Gary Whitta has revealed that his original draft of the script featured an alternative scene, where the Dark Lord of the Sith punished Director Krennic for failing to secure the Death Star plans. EWAN McGREGOR REALLY WANTS OBI-WAN RETURN
In other Star Wars news, Ewan McGregor has once again expressed his interest in reprising the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi, stating: “I have been asked about it a lot, to the point where it looks a bit like I’m sort of touting for work. I’ve been very open to say I’d be happy to do it, if they want to do it.” So, come on Lucasfilm, make it a reality! Read more here.
DEADPOOL 3 CONFIRMED ALONGSIDE X-FORCE
Following his blockbuster solo movie last year, Deadpool fans will be seeing plenty more of the Merc with a Mouth over the next few years, with screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick confirming that we’ll be getting a Deadpool 3 movie on top of the previously announced X-Force. ROBERT DOWNEY JR. TO TALK TO THE ANIMALS
Robert Downey Jr. has found his first post-Avengers: Infinity War project, signing on to follow in the footsteps of Rex Harrison and Eddie Murphy in The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle, which is being directed by Stephen Gaghan. Read our report here.
And speaking of Eddie Murphy, it’s been reported this week that he’s currently hard at work on a script for a sequel to the classic 1988 comedy Coming to America. The report stemmed from a post on Murphy’s Twitter account, which has since been deactivated, as apparently his social media team jumped the gun on the announcement. Read more here.
