Amazon Prime has continued its expansion into the world of television by acquiring the streaming rights to acclaimed USA hacker drama Mr. Robot.

The subscription service will start airing the show all 10 episodes on October 16th in the UK and Germany and in the Spring of 2016 in the US. Mr. Robot joins other USA/UCP series such as Covert Affairs and Suits in the Amazon Prime line-up.
Brad Beale, Amazon VP of Digital Video Content Acquisition said on the deal: “Mr. Robot is one the most compelling new dramas on television…. Rami Malek delivers a mesmerizing performance and leads a great cast with an intriguing story full of dark twists.”
Mr. Robot tells the story of “a young computer programmer who suffers from social anxiety disorder and forms connections through hacking. He’s recruited by a mysterious anarchist, who calls himself Mr. Robot.”
Rami Malek (Short Term 12), Portia Doubleday (Her), Carly Chaikin (Suburgatory), Martin Wallstrom (Stockholm Stories) and Christian Slater (True Romance) star in the show created by Sam Esmail (Comet).
