While neither Johnny Depp nor Amber Heard have come out of their very public break-up and subsequent legal battles looking well, so far only Depp’s career appears to have suffered, with the actor losing his roles in the Pirates of the Caribbean and Fantastic Beasts franchises – the latter in the days following his failed libel case against The Sun newspaper over an article branding him a “wife beater”.
Nevertheless, many fans have called on Warner Bros. to take action against Heard for the allegations of domestic abuse which have been made against her, with an online petition demanding her from the role of Mera in the DC Extended Universe superhero sequel Aquaman 2 having attracted over 1.8 million signatures to date.
With the Aquaman sequel reportedly gearing up to go into production this summer, a rumour began circling this weekend that Warner Bros. had decided to remove Heard from the film; however, it seems that is inaccurate, at least according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Ryan Parker.
Told by a reliable source that reports of Amber Heard being fired off 'Aquaman 2' are inaccurate.

Heard previously spoke about Aquaman 2 this past November, confirming her return alongside Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry and praising the fans which made the first Aquaman such a huge success upon release in 2018.
