Back in November of last year it was announced that 10 Cloverfield Lane director Dan Trachtenberg is set to direct a new instalment in the Predator franchise for the now Disney-owned 20th Century Studios, and it seems the project may now have found its lead.
According to a report from Discussing Film, Legion and Roswell, New Mexico actress Amber Midthunder will portray the lead in the new film, which will reportedly follow a Comanche woman who goes against the gender norms and traditions of her tribe to become a warrior.

The as-yet-untitled film has been written by Patrick Aison (Jack Ryan), and while further details are being kept tightly under wraps, it is not expected to have any connections to the franchise’s most recent instalment, 2018’s The Predator from director Shane Black.
