FX has announced that American Horror Story: Hotel is set to premiere on October 7th, while co-creator Ryan Murphy has revealed some details about the character set to be played by Lady Gaga in the fifth season of the anthology horror series.

“Her character’s name is Elizabeth,” states Murphy. “She owns the hotel, and she is sort of a very wealthy social doyenne who is consumed with art and fashion and people and she has a nefarious plan that is revealed in the first episode and plays out over the course of the season. She starts shooting on Monday.”
American Horror Story: Hotel is set to get underway on October 7th, with a cast that includes Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Chloe Sevigny, Matt Bomer, Wes Bentley, Lady Gaga, Max Greenfield, Finn Wittrock, Denis O’Hare, Madchen Amick and Darren Criss.
