With the upcoming tenth season of American Horror Story currently in production, Lily Rabe, who has appeared in every season of the long-running horror anthology series besides season seven, titled ‘Cult,’ shared her excitement about working with creator Ryan Murphy again as well as comparing the energy on-set to the very first season with the number of actors returning from previous seasons.
“Ryan Murphy, AHS’s creator, is one of the greatest people to work for. There’s a reason that those who work for him continue to work for him,” Rabe told Forbes. “I can’t believe this is season ten. I think the fact we get to have so many of the same people returning this season, there is this feeling of coming home. You get to tell a new story, play a new part, but the backbone of the thing is solid. It is wonderful getting into the sandbox again and have Ryan at the helm. I’m excited about this season, and I’m not alone in that. You can feel the energy on set. It’s just like it felt on season one.”
Plot details on the new season of American Horror Story are still being kept under wraps, although there’s been a lot of speculation that it could focus on some form of aquatic horror given that creator Ryan Murphy has previously teased a beach setting and a “weather-dependent” story.
The cast for the upcoming tenth season is set to include American Horror Story regulars Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Finn Wittrock, Lily Rabe, Leslie Grossman, Adina Porter, and Angelica Ross, with Macaulay Culkin being the newest addition.
