Deadline is reporting that Andrea Riseborough (Oblivion) is close to adding two projects to her upcoming slate, with the actress said to be in talks for Ghost House Pictures’ The Grudge remake and the Amazon / Sky miniseries Zero, Zero, Zero.
The Grudge, a new take on the 2004 movie (itself a remake of the 2002 Japanese horror) is being written and directed by Nicolas Pesce (The Eyes of My Mother), and Riseborough is said to be up for the role of a detective and young single mother.
Zero, Zero, Zero meanwhile is based on the book by Gomorrah author Robert Saviano and is being directed by Stefano Solima (Gomorroah TV series, Suburra). The series will take place in the world of international cocaine trafficking, with Riseborough playing Emma Landry, the no-nonsense operations manager of her family’s financial empire.
Riseborough was most recently seen in The Death of Stalin and Nancy (the latter of which she also produced), and recently signed on to star in Lone Scherfig’s Secrets from the Russian Tea Room, where she will star alongside Tahar Rahim and Zoe Kazan.
