Deadline has revealed that Andy Goddard (Downton Abbey, Daredevil) has signed on to direct Exile on Main Street: A Season in Hell with The Rolling Stones, which is based upon Robert Greenfield’s book and follows the legendary rock group during the recording of the 1972 album Exile on Main St.
The site reports that the producers are looking to cast the roles of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards now, ahead of a winter production start date. The script for the project has been written by Brandon and Philip Murphy.
Goddard’s most recent film A Kind of Murder premiered at Tribeca earlier this year, and he is also set to follow up his Daredevil duties by helming episodes of Netflix’s latest Marvel venture The Punisher.
